Vizag: The Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Jal Shakti, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, is set to inaugurate the first Rozgar Mela of the year in Vizag tomorrow. The event, which will take place at the Sagarmala Convention Centre in the city, marks the 12th tranche of appointments across various Union ministries and departments, reinforcing the government’s commitment to employment generation and youth empowerment.
The Rozgar Mela is a flagship initiative aimed at connecting job seekers with employment opportunities across Central Government Departments and Union Territories. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will virtually confer appointment letters to over 1 lakh newly recruited youth in Port Blair and address the candidates, underlining the government’s focus on creating meaningful avenues for youth participation in national development.
This edition of the Rozgar Mela is set to distribute appointment letters for positions in key Ministries and Departments, including the Department of Revenue, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and Ministry of Tribal Affairs, among others.
Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar is scheduled to personally hand over 244 appointment letters during the event, emphasizing the diverse opportunities available for the youth, ranging from conventional employment to entrepreneurial ventures. The Minister will also hold crucial meetings with representatives from the IT industries in Vizag, further promoting the region’s potential for technological innovation and job creation.
