Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya Launches ‘Viksit Bharat Ambassador – Yuva Connect’ in Pune, Encourages Youth to Lead India Towards Development by 2047

Pune, Maharashtra: Union Minister for Labour and Employment, Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, emphasized the critical role of youth in transforming India into a developed nation by 2047 during a program at SP College in Pune. The event, organized under the ‘Viksit Bharat Ambassador – Yuva Connect’ initiative, marked the launch of the nationwide campaign aimed at engaging young minds in building a developed India.

Dr. Mandaviya, addressing students, highlighted the importance of proper planning and youth involvement in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047. “Our youth are the foundation of this mission. With the right guidance and opportunities, they can drive India towards unprecedented growth and development,” he said, underscoring the government’s youth-centric decisions in recent budgets aimed at fulfilling this vision.

Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Khadse, who also attended the event, encouraged students to take proactive steps by registering on the My Bharat Portal. “This portal offers an opportunity for students to contribute to the nation’s progress. Each small action you take can be a step towards the bigger goal of a developed India,” Khadse said, urging youth to seize the moment and serve the country.

The ‘Viksit Bharat Ambassador – Yuva Connect’ initiative, launched from Maharashtra, is set to engage students from colleges across the state. Through interactions and discussions, students will be guided on their responsibilities in helping the country achieve its development goals. Dr. Mandaviya praised SP College for its rich legacy, noting that many alumni have gone on to serve the country in various fields, and expressed confidence that current students would continue that tradition.

Inspiring the audience with his personal story, Olympic bronze medalist Swapnil Kusale shared insights from his journey, encouraging fellow athletes to take advantage of the various schemes provided by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. “These programs are designed to support and uplift athletes, giving them the tools to excel and bring glory to the country,” Kusale said.

As part of the event, dignitaries, including Joint Secretary, Union Ministry of Youth Affairs, Nitish Mishra, and Shikshan Prasarak Mandali President, S. K. Jain, planted trees in the college premises under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative, symbolizing the importance of sustainability and environmental responsibility alongside national development.
