Union Health Minister Virtually Inaugurates Super Specialty Block in Kanpur Medical College

Kanpur: Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, inaugurated a Super Specialty Block at Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, through a virtual ceremony. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for an All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) Satellite Centre in Kanpur.

The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Shri Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh; Prof. S P Singh Baghel and Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar, Ministers of State for Health and Family Welfare, Union Health Ministry; Shri Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs & Health, Health Education, Family Welfare & Mother & Child Care, Uttar Pradesh; Shri Devendra Singh Bhole, Member of Parliament from Akbarpur, Kanpur, and Smt. Neelima Katiyar, Member of Legislative Assembly from Kalyanpur, Kanpur.

Dr. Mandaviya highlighted the healthcare initiatives undertaken for Uttar Pradesh, noting that it is the only state in India with two AIIMS institutions. He further mentioned that the number of medical colleges in the state has doubled in the last 10 years. The Union Health Minister commended the overall development strides in various sectors in Uttar Pradesh. The newly inaugurated Super Specialty Block and the upcoming AIISH Satellite Centre are expected to contribute significantly to advancing healthcare facilities in the region.
