Burla: TPWODL (TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited) is embarking on a significant infrastructure development project aimed at enhancing the power supply for domestic and agricultural consumers in the Sohela and Bhatli blocks of Bargarh district. The initiative involves the establishment of a new 33 kV line from Chor Grindola Grid Substation to Dasmile Primary Substation.
Currently, electricity is sourced for consumers in these two blocks from Turunga and Dasmile Primary Substations. However, due to overload issues, the existing supply infrastructure is strained, impacting the reliability of power supply to industrial consumers and hindering the provision of new connections. To address this challenge, TPWODL has commenced the installation of a dedicated 33 kV line spanning a distance of 22 km from Chorgrindola GSS to Dasmile PSS. This new line will alleviate the load on the existing infrastructure, leading to improved supply stability.
Upon completion of the project, approximately 21,000 consumers in the Dasmile, Turunaga, Srigida, Sarkanda, Bishipali, Dumerpali, Sohela, Beherapali, Karmunda, Jatala, Damkilali, Garvana, and Nuagan areas of Sohela and Bhatli blocks will benefit from reliable power supply. This initiative is expected to facilitate the addition of new industrial connections, thereby fostering regional growth through increased investments and job opportunities.
