Bhubaneswar: The Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar is abuzz with excitement as it welcomes three adorable new additions to its family. Asiatic lioness Rewa has given birth to three cubs, marking a joyous occasion for the park.
Lioness Rewa has brought three healthy cubs into the world, expanding the lion population at the park to 24. Currently, the lioness and her cubs are being housed in the feeding chamber of the veterinary hospital at Nandankanan Zoological Park.
While both Rewa and her cubs are reported to be in good health, the zoo authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the well-being of the newborns. Deputy Director of Nandankanan Zoological Park, Sanath Kumar, mentioned that Rewa is under constant surveillance through CCTV cameras as she was initially observed not attending to her cubs.
