Tasmanian Devils Born in Australian Mainland After 3,000 years
Australia: For the first almost after 3000 years, Tasmanian devils have been born in the wild in mainland Australia. Seven baby Tasmanian devils were born at the 988 acre Barrington Wildlife Sanctuary in South Wales.
A species of wild dog, are world’s largest carnivorous marsupials. Tasmanian devils died out of mainland Australia and were restricted to the island of Tasmania for years.
In September Australian NGO Aussie Ark introduced the species into the wild of mainland Australia.
