Sisir Saras Mela in Bhubaneswar from January

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Rural Development & Marketing Society (ORMAS), under the Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department, Government of Odisha, is set to host the prestigious National Level Handloom, Handicrafts & Natural Food Products event, Sisir Saras Mela in January. This much-awaited fair is scheduled to take place from the 6th to the 15th of January at the Biju Patnaik Playground, Baramuda.

A preparatory meeting was held on Tuesday for the successful conducting the exhibition.

Highlighting the diversity of India’s craftsmanship, a total of 400 stalls will grace the national-level fair, featuring displays by Women Self Help Groups (WSHGs), Producers Groups (PGs), and Producers Enterprises (PEs). These stalls will showcase a wide array of handicrafts, handloom products, and food spices from 26 states across the country.

Adding a culinary delight to the experience, a special food court featuring 20 stalls will tantalize the taste buds of visitors. Moreover, a thematic stall illustrating ORMAS activities, including Marketing, Livelihoods, and Skill Development, will be a focal point of interest, offering a comprehensive view of the organization’s initiatives.
