
Puri: Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has decided to silver plate the Singhadwara of the 12th century Jagannath Temple and repair the Ratna Palanka (bed) of Lord Jagannath.
This was decided after a high-level meeting today.
Informing about the decision, Chief Administrator of SJTA Ranjan Kumar Das said that SJTA decided to clad the Singhadwara of Srimandir with silver and repair the Ratna Palanka of Lord Jagannath.
Both the work will be carried out under the supervision of Archeological Survey of India (ASI) and completed before the annual Rath Yatra festival.
During the period, the devotees will be allowed to enter the temple through Hastidwara (elephant gate) situated in north of Srimandir.
