SECI Wins 3rd PSU Transformation Award for Innovative Renewable Energy Model

New Delhi: The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) Ltd, operating under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, has been awarded the prestigious 3rd PSU Transformation Award in the “Innovative Product Development” category. The accolade was conferred for SECI’s pioneering initiative of Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Supply to DISCOMs on a Demand Following Basis.

The award ceremony, held on December 5, 2024, in New Delhi, saw SECI represented by key officials. Sanjay Sharma, Director (Solar), along with Joshit Ranjan Sikidar, Director (Finance), and Sivakumar V Vepakomma, Director (Power System), accepted the honor in the presence of Ajay Kumar Sinha, General Manager (Corporate Planning), and other SECI officials.

The FDRE model represents a significant leap in the renewable energy sector. By collaborating closely with DISCOMs and various states, SECI has developed tailored energy solutions that address specific demand patterns while ensuring a steady supply of renewable power. This innovative approach has been instrumental in enhancing the integration of renewable energy into the grid while maintaining reliability and consistency in power delivery.
