Scientific Convention on World Homoeopathy Day 2024 Inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu

New Delhi: The two-day Scientific Convention on World Homoeopathy Day 2024 commenced today at Yashobhoomi Conventional Centre, Dwarka, New Delhi, with an inaugural address by President Smt. Droupadi Murmu. The convention, organized by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), celebrates the occasion of World Homoeopathy Day under the theme “Empowering Research, Enhancing Proficiency.”

President Murmu emphasized the importance of scientific validation in promoting the acceptance and popularity of homoeopathy. She highlighted the need for continuous improvement in the education system of homoeopathy to attract young students, essential for the sector’s bright future. Commending the efforts of the Ayush Ministry in organizing the event, President Murmu congratulated them for promoting homoeopathy alongside other Ayush systems of medicine.

Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, stressed the potential for integration between different medical systems, emphasizing the importance of strong research and clinical testing to establish a robust scientific foundation for homoeopathy. Dr. Subhash Kaushik, Director-General of CCRH, emphasized the importance of evidence-based research and collaboration among scientists from various fields to advance the sector.

The inaugural ceremony was followed by a session chaired by Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri Vaidya Devendra Triguna Ji and Padma Shri Dr. HR Nagendra Ji, featuring enriching experiences shared by Padma Awardees of the homoeopathy sector.

Subsequent sessions will cover topics such as Empowering Homoeopathy and Modern Perspectives, Clinicians Perspectives, and Advancing Practice, featuring inputs from renowned clinicians and experts. The convention aims to promote evidence-based scientific treatment, capacitate the homoeopathic community in research-based therapeutics, and enrich homoeopathic medicine with quality diagnostics and therapeutics for better patient outcomes.

Over the two days, the convention will include sessions on Translational Research, Evidence Base Research & Practice Experience, Epidemic and Public Health, Veterinary Homoeopathy, Quality Assurance in Homoeopathic Medicinal Products and Services, among others, to address various challenges and opportunities in the sector.

The event saw participation from delegates from Netherlands, Spain, Columbia, Canada, and Bangladesh, along with dignitaries and experts from the homoeopathic community. A total of 17 CCRH publications were released during the event, marking a significant step towards advancing research and innovation in the field of homoeopathy.
