Bhubaneswar: In view of the prevailing heatwave, the state government on Saturday rescheduled the timing for schools in Odisha functioning under the School and Mass Education department.
As per the notification issued by the department, the schools and educational institutions have been asked to conduct classes from 6 am to 9 am from May 2.
However, the ongoing examinations scheduled by different boards and councils will continue as usual.
All schools in the State had been closed from April 26 to April 30 due to an intense heatwave.
Meanwhile, the department has directed the Board of Secondary Education, Council of Higher Secondary Education, other boards, and educational institutions to conduct the learning recovery plan (LRP) prepared by OSEPA during summer vacation.
