SAIL Honored with SHRM HR Excellence Awards for Inclusion and Workforce Management

New Delhi: Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has received two prestigious awards at the SHRM India Annual Conference 2024, held recently in New Delhi. The company was recognized for ‘Excellence in Inclusion, Equity & Diversity’ and ‘Excellence in Managing the Distributed Workforce.’

These awards underscore SAIL’s commitment to pioneering human resource practices and initiatives that foster inclusive growth across its various plants and units nationwide. The company believes that its employees are integral to its success and central to all its operations. To this end, SAIL has consistently implemented strategies aimed at enhancing employee motivation and engagement.

The conference featured remarks from prominent figures, including Shri Piyush Goyal, the Hon’ble Minister of Commerce and Industry, and Shri Jayant Chaudhary, the Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Industry leaders shared their insights, providing a platform for discussion on pressing HR topics.

During an interactive session, Shri K.K. Singh, Director (Personnel) at SAIL, highlighted the innovative HR practices being adopted within the organization. He emphasized the critical role of human resources in cultivating a resilient workforce in today’s competitive business environment.
