Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Congratulates Vladimir Putin on Re-Election as Russian President
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday declared a war and approved military operation in Ukraine.
In his television address, Putin blamed the Ukrainian regime for the bloodshed. He added that Russia doesn’t want to occupy Ukraine.
Warning other countries not to interfere the Russian action, he said ‘consequences they have never seen’. He also accused the US and its allies of ignoring Russia’s demand to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO and offer Moscow security guarantees.
Stating that the Russian military operation aims to ensure a ‘demilitarisation’ of Ukraine, he further said that all Ukrainian servicemen who lay down arms will be able to safely leave the zone of combat.
