
Rourkela: Sumit Singh, a resident of Rourkela, has added another feather to his cap by securing a coveted spot in the Guinness World Records for his extraordinary feat of treadmill running. Singh, an ultra runner, accomplished this remarkable feat on March 12th by running continuously on a treadmill for an astounding 12 hours.
During the record attempt, which commenced at 8:15 am and concluded at 8:20 pm, Singh covered a staggering distance of 68.04 kilometers, as meticulously recorded by the treadmill.
Notably, in 2023, he embarked on an unprecedented challenge, running an astonishing 33 full marathons within a span of one month, from April 25th to May 24th, at the Uditnagar Stadium in Rourkela. Singh covered a total distance of 1392.6 kilometers, showcasing unparalleled endurance and resilience.
