
Kolkata: In a significant development on February 20, veteran journalist and columnist Sagarika Ghose officially filed her nomination for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections from the Trinamool Congress (TMC). This move adds a new dimension to her illustrious career, as she steps into the political arena under the banner of the Mamata Banerjee-led party.
Sagarika Ghose, known for her impactful contributions to The Times of India, Outlook, The Indian Express, and CNN-IBN, has decided to embark on a political journey by accepting the nomination from the TMC.
The TMC had earlier announced Ghose’s nomination, along with other candidates, through a social media post on February 11.
