
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed profound sorrow today over the demise of the distinguished literary figure and former president of Odisha Sahitya Akademi, Satakadi Hota.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister acknowledged Hota’s stature as an eminent and well-known literary personality in the state. Hota has left an indelible mark on Odia literature through his high-quality stories, novels, poems, and translated works. Beyond his literary contributions, he was also recognized for his organizational skills and journalistic acumen.
Patnaik lamented that Hota’s passing is an irreparable loss to the world of Odia literature. In recognition of his contributions, the Chief Minister announced that the last rites of Satakadi Hota would be conducted with full state honors.
