
New Delhi: In a significant move towards enhancing the inter-state transmission infrastructure for renewable energy projects, REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a subsidiary of REC Limited, handed over the project-specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to G R Infraprojects Private Limited. The SPV, named Pachora Power Transmission Limited, is dedicated to establishing an Inter-State Transmission Project for the evacuation of power from RE Projects in Rajgarh SEZ in Madhya Pradesh, Phase II, with a capacity of 1000 MW. The handover ceremony witnessed the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, representatives from the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited (CTUIL), and other key stakeholders.
Shri Rajesh Kumar, CEO of RECPDCL, emphasized the organization’s commitment to supporting the growth of renewable power reforms in line with the visionary directions of the Power Minister and Power Secretary. The initiative aligns with the broader goal of meeting the increasing electricity demand in the country through the development of efficient and robust transmission systems. The project was awarded through the Tariff-based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process, reflecting the government’s focus on competitive and transparent mechanisms for the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure.
