
President Murmu Renames Historic Halls at Rashtrapati Bhavan to Reflect Indian Cultural Values
New Delhi: In view of the upcoming Republic Day Parade and Beating the Retreat Ceremony-2024, the general public tour of Rashtrapati Bhavan’s Circuit-1 will be temporarily closed from January 23 to 29, 2024. The closure aims to facilitate the smooth conduct of the prestigious Republic Day events.
Circuit-1 of Rashtrapati Bhavan offers visitors a comprehensive tour of the main building, allowing them to explore the forecourts and premier rooms of the Bhavan. The tour includes iconic locations such as the Banquet Hall, Ashoka Hall, Darbar Hall, Library, North Drawing Room, Long Drawing Room, Navachar, Arogya Vanam, and more. Additionally, visitors have the opportunity to explore the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex (RBMC) and Amrit Udyan.
The closure period ensures the security and uninterrupted preparation for the Republic Day Parade and Beating the Retreat Ceremony, events that symbolize the grandeur and unity of the nation.
