
Bhubaneswar: Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology, is set to inaugurate the newly constructed East Side Station Entry at Cuttack Railway Station during his visit to Odisha today.
The new East Side Station Building has been designed to provide seamless access for passengers directly from the National Highway, enhancing connectivity and reducing congestion. The facility includes streamlined circulation zones, upgraded public amenities, and a focus on improving passenger convenience and safety, marking a significant step in railway infrastructure modernization.
The development of the East Side Station Building reflects the government’s broader vision of building a world-class rail network across India. This upgrade is expected to significantly enhance the travel experience for passengers in Cuttack and beyond, aligning with the Ministry of Railways’ commitment to improving infrastructure in the eastern region.
Vaishnaw’s visit underscores the government’s focus on boosting infrastructure to support economic growth and ease of travel. Following the inauguration, the minister will conclude his engagements in Odisha and return to New Delhi via Varanasi on the morning of December 8, 2024.
