RACP Adalat Continues for Second Day, Receives 256 Applications from Forest Department Employees

Bhubaneswar: The second day of the Revised Assured Career Progression (RACP) Adalat of the Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Department was held today at Aranya Bhavan Conference Hall, witnessing an overwhelming response from retired and working employees seeking redressal for their grievances.

The Adalat was chaired by Additional Secretary and Chairman of the RACP Adalat Committee, Deben Kumar Pradhan, along with key officials, including Special Secretary Dharam Hansda, Additional Secretary Usharani Das, Financial Advisor Kalyani Malli, Senior Administrative Officer Sabita Mallick, and Joint Secretary Dinakrushna Kar, who served as the member-convenor of the committee.

Addressing the participants, Deben Kumar Pradhan emphasized that the Adalat was convened as per the directions of the Hon’ble High Court of Odisha and the Chief Secretary of Odisha. He expressed satisfaction over the strong turnout, stating that employees from all corners of the state had traveled long distances to present their cases, highlighting the necessity of such grievance redressal mechanisms.

A total of 256 applications were received on the second day, with employees from Koraput, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Bhubaneswar, CCF Training and Development Cuttack, and the office of the Director of Nandankanan participating in the proceedings. Shri Pradhan assured that justice would be delivered within a month, directing the concerned authorities to scrutinize and resolve the applications promptly.

The RACP Adalat aims to provide speedy resolutions to employees deprived of career progression benefits, reducing the need for legal intervention. With a significant number of applications received over the two days, officials reiterated their commitment to addressing the grievances in a time-bound manner.
