Puri: In an effort to enhance the experience for pilgrims and tourists visiting Puri for the Rath Yatra, the Puri district administration has launched a new mobile application, ‘Rath Yatra 2024.’ The app aims to provide comprehensive information and services, making it easier for visitors to navigate and access essential amenities during the festival.
The ‘Rath Yatra 2024’ app offers a range of features designed to assist spectators and tourists. By downloading the app, users can easily locate the nearest drinking water facilities, health centers, free food distribution centers, police aid posts, child desks, helplines, information centers, temporary shelters, wheelchair arrangements for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), lifeguard services, and control rooms.
In addition to these services, the app provides information on nearby hotels, restaurants, parking spaces, and religious places. The built-in navigation facility helps users reach these locations effortlessly.
The app can be downloaded via a QR code on any Android mobile phone. It also includes detailed information about Rath Yatra events, including Niladri Bije, ensuring that users are well-informed throughout the festival.
Puri Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain expressed confidence that the app would significantly benefit attendees by providing crucial information during the crowded Rath Yatra. Swain also revealed plans to develop an integrated city app for Puri in the near future, further enhancing the accessibility and convenience for residents and visitors alike.
