Bhubaneswar: The public grievance hearings scheduled for August 19 and August 26 have been canceled due to government holidays, as announced by the Department of General Administration and Public Grievance on Friday. The department has assured that new dates for the hearings will be announced soon through newspapers and public notices.
The cancellations are in observance of Rakhi Purnima on August 19 and Janmashtami on August 26, both significant holidays in Odisha. Rakhi Purnima celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters, while Janmashtami marks the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna.
The Chief Minister’s public grievance hearings, which began on July 1, are usually conducted every Monday. However, the grievance cell was closed for two weeks last month due to the Chief Minister’s visit to New Delhi and the Odisha assembly session.
