Prime Minister Narendra Modi Inaugurates 27th National Youth Festival in Nashik, Maharashtra

Nashik: In a spirited inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the 27th National Youth Festival in Nashik, Maharashtra, today. Paying tribute to Swami Vivekanand and Rajmata Jijau, the Prime Minister witnessed a vibrant cultural program themed ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047 – Yuva ke liye, Yuva ke dwara,’ showcasing activities like Rhythmic gymnastics, Mallakhamb, Yogasana, and the National Youth Festival song.

Addressing the enthusiastic gathering, the Prime Minister emphasized the significance of India’s youth power on National Youth Day, celebrated on Swami Vivekanand’s birth anniversary. Highlighting the ‘Amrit Kaal’ or the transformative period, PM Modi credited the youth for propelling India into the top 5 economies globally and achieving milestones in startup ecosystems, patents, and manufacturing.

Reflecting on the youth’s responsibilities during the ‘Amrit Kaal,’ the Prime Minister recalled the contributions of iconic figures like M Visvesvaraya, Major Dhyan Chand, Bhagat Singh, and others. Urging the youth to work towards elevating the nation, he acknowledged their unique opportunity and the rapid registration of 1.10 crore youths on the MY-Bharat portal within 75 days.

PM Modi lauded the government’s decade-long efforts in creating opportunities and breaking barriers for the youth. He cited advancements in education, employment, entrepreneurship, startups, skills, and sports, including the implementation of the New Educational Policy, PM Vishwakarma Yojna, and skilling initiatives.

Underlining India’s role as a leader in technology, the Prime Minister cited achievements like Chandrayaan 3, Aditya L1 missions, INS Vikrant, Tejas fighter planes, and extensive UPI use. He expressed pride in India’s ‘youthful’ mood and style, urging the youth to lead the way in various sectors.

Encouraging the pursuit of new goals, PM Modi outlined the objectives of achieving a $5 trillion economy, becoming the 3rd largest economy, and addressing climate change. He urged the youth to participate in politics, contributing to India’s democratic heritage and diluting dynasty politics.

As a call to action, the Prime Minister urged first-time voters to bring new energy to democracy. He emphasized that the ‘Amrit Kaal’ signifies a period of duty for the youth and urged them to promote local products, refrain from drugs, and work towards a stronger India.

In conclusion, PM Modi expressed confidence that the youth of India will fulfill their responsibilities with dedication, lighting the lamp for a strong and competent India.
