Prime Minister Narendra Modi Facilitates Symbolic Gesture of Unity at Meeting with Muslim Community Delegation

New Delhi: In a demonstration of harmony and respect for Sufi traditions, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi met with a delegation from the Muslim community today at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. The occasion witnessed the presence of Union Minister of Women and Child Development (WCD) and Minority Affairs, Smt Smriti Zubin Irani. During the meeting, the Prime Minister presented a sacred Chadar, intended to be placed at the Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at the esteemed Ajmer Sharif Dargah.

The exchange, symbolizing unity, peace, and reverence for Sufi traditions, underscored the inclusive ethos that forms an integral part of India’s cultural fabric. The presence of Smt Smriti Zubin Irani, Union Minister for both WCD and Minority Affairs, further emphasized the government’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and communal harmony.

Among the notable personalities in attendance were Janab Haji Syed Salman Chishty Gaddi Nashin, Janab Haji Sayed Mohammad Ashraf Kichauchawai, Janab Farid Ahmed Nizami, Janab Manzoor Ul Haq Sb – (Javed Qutubi), Janab Chisty Nasiruddin Sb, Janab Kalbe Rushaid Sayed Rizvi, Molvi Mohammad Noorani Naqashbandi, Janab Pyare Ziya Khan (Oxygen Man of India), Janab Haseen Aghadi sb, Janab Kausar Hasan, Prof. Tariq Mansoor, and Janab Jamal Siddiqui.

The meeting highlighted the government’s commitment to fostering an environment of inclusivity, where diverse communities come together to celebrate and respect each other’s traditions. The presentation of the Chadar for the Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti signifies a shared commitment to preserving the rich cultural and religious heritage that defines the tapestry of India.
