Prime Minister Narendra Modi Extends Greetings on National Science Day, Emphasizes Government’s Commitment to Research and Innovation

 

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked National Science Day by extending warm greetings and emphasizing the government’s dedication to fostering research and innovation among the youth. In a post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister shared a video expressing his thoughts on the significance of scientific temperament, innovation, and technology in shaping the future of the nation.

In his message, Shri Modi stated, “Greetings on National Science Day. Our Government is continuously working to encourage research and innovation among the youth. This is important to realize our dream of a Viksit Bharat.”

The Prime Minister highlighted the pivotal role of science and technology in the progress of the nation, reiterating the government’s commitment to creating an environment that nurtures curiosity and creativity among the youth. He emphasized that a scientifically inclined youth is essential for the realization of the vision of a developed and advanced India.

National Science Day is celebrated on February 28th each year to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian physicist Sir C.V. Raman in 1928. The day serves as a tribute to the scientific achievements of Indian researchers and aims to encourage scientific thinking and innovation across the country.

The government’s initiatives in promoting scientific research, technological innovation, and education have been evident through various schemes and programs aimed at creating a conducive ecosystem for scientific development.
