Prime Minister Modi’s Visit to Jammu Sparks Enthusiasm and Excitement

Jammu: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh expressed the natural affinity between the people of Jammu & Kashmir and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a media interaction today in Jammu. The comments came as part of the on-the-spot final review of preparations for Prime Minister Modi’s program at Maulana Stadium in the city tomorrow.

Accompanied by senior officials from the Government of India and a team from the Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory administration, Dr. Jitendra Singh remarked on the palpable excitement among the people on the eve of the Prime Minister’s visit. He noted that virtually every citizen in the Union Territory eagerly anticipates being a part of the program.

Dr. Jitendra Singh conducted a thorough review of the arrangements for the Prime Minister’s program at M.A. Stadium in the city. He received briefings from civil administration and security agencies about the comprehensive arrangements being made for the public program. He expressed satisfaction that both society and administration collaborated to ensure adequate preparations.

People from all over the Union Territory, especially from ten districts of the Jammu region, are expected to participate in the event. Dr. Jitendra Singh mentioned that attendees from distant districts like Poonch, Kishtwar, and Ramban would arrive in the city the night before, while those from neighboring districts like Kathua and Samba would reach the venue on the morning of the event.

The Union Minister assured that arrangements for accommodation, refreshments, and sanitation facilities for invitees have been meticulously organized to ensure a comfortable experience.

Dr. Jitendra Singh revealed that Prime Minister Modi would inaugurate projects worth more than Rs. 30,000 crore, executed by the Ministries of Education, Civil Aviation, Railways, and Petroleum. He reiterated the Prime Minister’s high priority for infrastructure development in Jammu & Kashmir, citing the establishment of two AIIMS, IIM, IIT, and IIMC in the Union Territory as evidence.

Reflecting on Prime Minister Modi’s support, Dr. Jitendra Singh highlighted the unprecedented development package granted by the Prime Minister soon after taking office. He emphasized Modi’s commitment to both physical and financial support and the historic Constitutional changes in August 2019, aiming to mainstream the Union Territory and break down mental barriers.
