Prime Minister Modi Inaugurates Boeing India Engineering and Technology Centre in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Boeing India Engineering and Technology Centre (BIETC) in Devanahalli on Friday, marking a significant milestone for aerospace development in Karnataka. Valued at Rs 1,600 crore, the sprawling 43-acre BIETC campus stands as Boeing’s largest investment outside the United States.

In his address to the audience, PM Modi underscored Karnataka’s emerging role as an aerospace hub, emphasizing the state’s vital contribution to the sector’s growth. He highlighted the BIETC facility as a nucleus for innovation, poised to propel advancements in aviation. Bengaluru, with its technological prowess, is positioned to connect India’s technological potential with global demand, he added.

PM Modi expressed optimism that the Boeing India facility in Bengaluru would be instrumental in designing aircraft of the future. He further stressed that the Boeing campus strengthens India’s commitment to ‘Make in India, make for the World,’ aligning with the nation’s aspiration for self-reliance and global contribution.
