Prime Minister Modi Inaugurates 2550th Bhagwan Mahaveer Nirvan Mahotsav

New Delhi: The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, marked the auspicious occasion of Mahaveer Jayanti by inaugurating the 2550th Bhagwan Mahaveer Nirvan Mahotsav at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today. The event was graced with the presence of dignitaries and members of the Jain community, who gathered to commemorate the significant milestone in Jain history.

During the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi paid heartfelt tributes to Bhagwan Mahaveer by offering rice and flower petals at his Murti, symbolizing reverence and devotion. He also witnessed a captivating dance drama presentation titled “Vartaman mein Vardhaman” by school children, depicting the life and teachings of Bhagwan Mahaveer Swami. Additionally, the Prime Minister released a commemorative stamp and coin to commemorate the occasion, further enriching the celebration.

In his address to the gathering, Prime Minister Modi expressed admiration for the dedication and commitment of the youth towards the timeless values of Bhagwan Mahaveer. He emphasized the significance of the 2550th Bhagwan Mahaveer Nirvan Mahotsav, highlighting its alignment with the nation’s journey towards a golden century of independence and the 75th year of the Constitution. Prime Minister Modi underscored the importance of the Amrit Kaal—a period of spiritual inspiration and resolution—urging the nation to embrace the timeless teachings of Bhagwan Mahaveer.

Reflecting on India’s enduring legacy and farsighted approach, Prime Minister Modi lauded the nation’s role as a beacon of peace and unity in a divided world. He emphasized India’s cultural richness, growing capabilities, and proactive foreign policy initiatives, positioning the country as a global leader in combating climate change and fostering international cooperation through initiatives like the International Solar Alliance.

Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed India’s commitment to upholding the principles of truth and non-violence on the global stage, emphasizing the nation’s cultural heritage and tradition as a source of hope and inspiration for the world. He stressed the importance of Jainism as the path of victory and lauded India’s resilience and spiritual strength in overcoming adversities throughout history.

Prime Minister Modi urged citizens to uphold the values of Asteya and Ahimsa, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to build a brighter future for the nation. He expressed gratitude to the saints and leaders of the Jain community for their guidance and blessings, reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the nation’s progress and prosperity.
