Prime Minister Modi Encourages Youth at NCC PM Rally; Stresses Empowerment and Nation-Building

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the annual NCC PM rally at the Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi, highlighting the significance of youth empowerment and nation-building. The event witnessed a cultural program, the presentation of Best Cadet Awards, the flagging in of the Mega Cyclothon by NCC Girls, and the Nari Shakti Vandan Run (NSRV) from Jhansi to Delhi.

In his address, the Prime Minister, a former NCC cadet himself, reminisced about his NCC days and emphasized the idea of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,’ celebrating the diversity of cadets from different parts of the country. He commended the growth of NCC, with over 400 sarpanches from border areas and more than 100 women from self-help groups attending the rally.

Highlighting the rally’s role in fostering unity, Prime Minister Modi mentioned the increasing international participation, noting that while in 2014, cadets from 10 countries attended, this year saw representation from 24 nations.

Prime Minister Modi acknowledged the significance of the 75th Republic Day dedicated to Nari Shakti, praising the achievements of Indian daughters across various fields. He applauded the awardee cadets and recognized cycle groups from Vadodara and Kashi, expressing his association with both places as an MP.

Reflecting on the evolving role of women in society, the Prime Minister noted their increasing presence in diverse sectors. He credited the dedication of women participants in the Republic Day parade to the sustained efforts of the last 10 years. Acknowledging the historical strength of ‘Nari Shakti’ in Indian traditions, he cited examples of valiant warriors like Rani Lakshmi Bai, Rani Chennamma, and Queen Velu Nachiyar who resisted British forces.

Prime Minister Modi outlined the government’s continuous efforts to empower women by removing barriers in sectors once restricted. He cited examples of women’s participation in the defense forces, permanent commission opportunities, and combat positions. He also highlighted the admission of girl students in Sainik Schools and the significant increase in women in Central Armed Forces in the last decade.

Shifting focus to societal impact, the Prime Minister pointed out the rising participation of women in various sectors, including banking, insurance, startups, and self-help groups. He emphasized the positive impact of women’s participation on the talent pool, contributing to the creation of a developed India.

Addressing the youth directly, Prime Minister Modi discussed the transformative era ahead, emphasizing that the next 25 years would witness the development of a developed India. He highlighted the government’s commitment to youth empowerment through initiatives like the new National Education Policy and the Smart School Campaign.

Recognizing the achievements of the past decade, Prime Minister Modi noted improvements in global university rankings, increased medical colleges and seats, and the establishment of new IITs and AIIMS across states. He affirmed the government’s dedication to opening up sectors like defense, space, and mapping for young talent.

In economic empowerment, Prime Minister Modi referenced campaigns like “Make in India” and “Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” offering new employment opportunities for young individuals. He celebrated India’s digital revolution, pointing out the exponential growth of the digital economy and the country’s emergence as the third-largest startup ecosystem globally.

In conclusion, Prime Minister Modi expressed confidence in the youth’s ability to shape India’s future and urged active participation in nation-building. He encouraged youth to register with “MY Bharat Organization” and contribute ideas for a prosperous India, reaffirming their role as the architects of a ‘Viksit Bharat.’
