
President of India Inaugurates Amrit Udyan Summer Annuals Edition 2024
New Delhi: The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, today inaugurated the much-anticipated Amrit Udyan Summer Annuals Edition, 2024, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The grand opening ceremony marks the beginning of a month-long celebration of vibrant summer blooms, attracting nature enthusiasts and tourists alike.
The Amrit Udyan, a botanical treasure within the presidential estate, will be open to the public from August 16 to September 15, 2024. Visitors can explore the garden daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the last entry allowed at 5:15 PM. Mondays will be reserved for maintenance, ensuring the garden remains in pristine condition throughout the exhibition.
Special dates have been designated to honor India’s athletes and educators. On August 29, in celebration of National Sports Day, the garden will exclusively welcome sportspersons. Similarly, on September 5, Teachers’ Day, the garden will be reserved for teachers, recognizing their invaluable contributions to society.
Entry to Amrit Udyan is free, but registration is mandatory. Visitors can book their slots online through the official Rashtrapati Bhavan website or register upon arrival using Self Service Kiosks available at Gate No. 35.
For ease of access, visitors can enter the garden via Gate No. 35, located near North Avenue Road. Additionally, a complimentary shuttle bus service will run from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35, ensuring convenient transportation for all attendees.
