President of India Addresses Central University of Himachal Pradesh Convocation

Dharamshala: The 7th convocation of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh was graced by the presence and address of the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, today. Speaking at the ceremony, President Murmu emphasized the significance of adaptability and continuous learning in the face of rapid technological advancements characterizing the 21st century.

Highlighting the transformative nature of the 4th Industrial Revolution, President Murmu noted the emergence of new fields such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, which demand agility and evolving skill sets. She stressed the importance of nurturing flexible minds among the youth to enable them to navigate the dynamic landscape of modern challenges.

Addressing educators, President Murmu underscored the multifaceted role of education in fostering self-reliance, character development, and cultural awareness among students. She emphasized that teachers play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the nation by imparting not only knowledge but also instilling values and ethos.

President Murmu advocated for an educational approach that promotes independent learning and creativity, enabling students to explore and innovate without constraints. She encouraged students to uphold human values such as compassion, conscientiousness, and sensitivity, emphasizing their role in leading successful and meaningful lives.

Recognizing the potential of youth as the driving force for national development, President Murmu called upon them to dedicate themselves to the service of the nation. She emphasized that their commitment to societal welfare is not only a moral obligation but also a civic duty as responsible citizens.
