President Inaugurates Kaushal Bhawan, a Milestone for Skill Development

New Delhi: The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, marked a significant milestone in the realm of skill development by inaugurating Kaushal Bhawan, the new headquarters of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in New Delhi today.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the President exploring exhibition stalls that showcased the success stories of beneficiaries from various government initiatives, including PM Vishwakarma, PM JANMAN, Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP), and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). Engaging with these beneficiaries provided valuable insights into the impact of these programs.

The construction of Kaushal Bhawan, whose foundation stone was laid in March 2019, represents a significant investment in providing dedicated office space for the Ministry and its associated organizations—the Directorate General of Training, the National Council for Vocational Education and Training, and the National Skill Development Corporation. The state-of-the-art office building is equipped with modern facilities and infrastructure designed to create a safe, convenient, and efficient work environment.

The primary objective behind Kaushal Bhawan is to foster a new work culture and invigorate the Skill India Mission. The inauguration ceremony was a testament to the government’s commitment to skill development, entrepreneurship, and providing a conducive environment for initiatives that contribute to the nation’s growth.

The event celebrated not only the physical inauguration of Kaushal Bhawan but also the spirit of skill development and empowerment that it symbolizes. The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship aims to leverage the new headquarters to enhance its efforts in creating a skilled and empowered workforce, contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the country.
