Patha Utsav in Bhubaneswar Postponed Due to Persistent Rainfall

Bhubaneswar: The much-anticipated Patha Utsav, originally scheduled for December 22, 2024, has been postponed due to relentless rainfall triggered by a depression over the Bay of Bengal.

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) announced the decision on its official X handle on Saturday, assuring citizens that the new date and venue for the event will be communicated soon.

“The Bhubaneswar Patha Utsav on 22nd December 2024 i.e tomorrow is postponed. The next date and venue will be communicated,” read the official tweet.

Launched in 2016, Patha Utsav is a flagship initiative by the BMC that transforms city streets into vibrant hubs of cultural activity. The event aims to raise awareness about critical social and civic issues while promoting creativity, culture, and environmental sustainability.

Over the years, Patha Utsav has become a beloved event in Bhubaneswar, drawing residents and visitors alike to celebrate the city’s rich heritage through art, music, and community engagement.

While the postponement has dampened immediate plans, citizens remain eager for the announcement of a new date and venue. The BMC’s commitment to hosting the event at a more favorable time reflects its dedication to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Stay tuned for updates as the city prepares to once again come alive with the spirit of Patha Utsav.
