Bhubaneswar: OREDA Limited, a Government of Odisha undertaking under the Department of Energy, has paid its first-ever dividend of ₹1.07 crore to the State Government for the financial year 2024-25.
The dividend cheque was presented to Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo.
Incorporated on May 9, 2024, OREDA Limited recorded a net profit of ₹3.57 crore during its first financial year. The company’s first dividend within a year of incorporation marks an early financial milestone for the State-owned renewable energy undertaking.
OREDA is engaged in promoting renewable energy and sustainable energy solutions across Odisha. The company said its financial performance reflects its focus on sound financial management while pursuing its renewable energy mandate.
The dividend cheque was handed over in the presence of Additional Chief Secretary, Energy, Vishal Kumar Dev; FA-cum-Special Secretary Dr Debidutta Tripathy; OREDA CEO Saidutta Biplab Keshari Pradhan; Additional Secretary Nibedita Mishra and other senior officials of the Energy Department.
The company is expected to continue its efforts to promote renewable energy and expand sustainable energy solutions across the State.
