Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Up-skilling & Placement Programme (OUPP) successfully placed all 181 trainees in Tech Mahindra with an annual package of Rs. 4.25 LPA. The program, aimed at providing skill development in advanced information technologies, along with 100% placement assistance, is a flagship initiative under the 5T framework. Chairman 5T and Nabin Odisha, Kartik Pandian, recently interacted with the trainees at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, commending their success.
The OUPP adopts a Recruit, Train, and Deploy (RTD) approach, targeting students with B.Tech, MCA, and M.Sc. qualifications from economically weaker backgrounds across the state. The program offers free boarding facilities throughout the six-month course duration, ensuring inclusivity.
Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the OUPP leverages strategic partnerships, with Tech Mahindra as the technical partner and Tata Steel Foundation providing CSR support as the skilling partner. Three state-of-the-art modern IT labs equipped with advanced technologies were established for effective training.
