Odisha Tourism Showcases Investment Potential in Hyderabad Roadshow

Hyderabad: Odisha Tourism launched its campaign to boost inbound and domestic tourism with a high-impact roadshow in Hyderabad today. Organized in collaboration with FICCI, the event brought together over 40 travel operators and 20 tourism investors, fostering key business-to-government (B2G) interactions aimed at strengthening Odisha’s tourism sector.

Held at Taj Krishna, Hyderabad, the roadshow highlighted Odisha’s rich and diverse tourism offerings, including cultural heritage sites, waterfalls, wildlife sanctuaries, Buddhist circuits, and the state’s acclaimed Eco Retreat Odisha, a three-month glamping festival. The event featured informative sessions and interactive engagements to attract investors and travel industry stakeholders from Hyderabad.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, who graced the occasion, emphasized Odisha’s pro-investment environment, stating, “With unmatched destinations and serene landscapes, Odisha presents a golden opportunity for investors to build, grow, and thrive in one of India’s most promising tourism markets.” She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and creating a business-friendly atmosphere for tourism investments.

Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Tourism, Balwant Singh, highlighted the state’s robust road network, seamless connectivity with neighboring states, and the government’s strategic focus on tourism infrastructure development. He outlined investment opportunities and emphasized Odisha’s potential as a premier destination for domestic and international travelers.

Lokesh Kumar, Head of PMU Odisha Tourism, welcomed stakeholders and encouraged them to explore Odisha firsthand. He assured them of the government’s full support in facilitating business growth, ensuring a smooth experience for travel operators, destination management companies (DMCs), and investors.

The roadshow featured interactive Q&A sessions with Hyderabad’s tourism stakeholders, where discussions revolved around:

  • Odisha’s inclusion in prominent Tourism Plazas to enhance its visibility.
  • Promoting wellness tourism, leveraging Odisha’s serene landscapes, natural beauty, and traditional wellness practices.

Later in the day, the Odisha Tourism delegation engaged in B2G meetings with over 12 potential investors, including Sensation Infracom Pvt. Ltd., Trance Managed Hotels, Formula 4 Racing Promotions Pvt. Ltd., and Colors Event Solutions (Sunburn). Talks focused on developing hotels, resorts, and concert-led infrastructure, in collaboration with the Odisha Department of Tourism, to enhance the state’s hospitality sector.

Hon’ble Deputy CM Pravati Parida also visited the historic Golconda Fort, where she attended the light and sound show, further strengthening cultural ties between Odisha and Hyderabad.

Odisha Tourism is currently investing in strategic master planning and the development of priority destinations, with innovative tourism offerings such as camping, homestays, and caravan tourism. By harmonizing investor interest with enhanced tourist experiences, Odisha is positioning itself as a key player in India’s growing tourism landscape.
