Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha, has reopened the online portal for submission and validation of scholarship applications under the Mukhyamantri Medhabi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana for the academic session 2025–26, allowing fresh students to apply against remaining vacancies.
According to the notification issued by the Department, the portal will remain open for fresh online applications from February 6 to February 26, 2026, with no provision for any further extension. Validation of applications by Heads of Institutions and Principals concerned will continue till March 6, 2026.
The reopening covers multiple scholarship schemes, including e-Medhabruti (UG Merit), e-Medhabruti (PG Merit), e-Medhabruti (Technical and Professional Merit), Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti Scheme, and Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana.
To ensure faster and transparent verification, the Department has made it mandatory for applicants, particularly Non-SAMS students, to upload required documents through DigiLocker. Officials said this measure would streamline the verification process and reduce delays in scholarship disbursal.
A separate merit list will be prepared at the Department level for eligible applications received against the remaining vacancies.
Students facing difficulties during the online application process can refer to the FAQs available on the official scholarship portal or contact the Higher Education Department helpline numbers 0674-2396550, 0674-2391126, 0674-2391127 and 0674-2391128 on working days.
