Anu Garg, Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha, delivered a virtual presentation on the theme “Odisha Vision 2036 & 2047: Viksit Odisha for Viksit Bharat.”

The dialogue was organized jointly by NITI Aayog and the Maharashtra Institute for Transformation (MITRA) and brought together policymakers, administrators, and experts from across the country. She said the Vision Document, prepared with the support of NITI Aayog, lays out a people-centric roadmap aimed at boosting economic growth and enhancing the quality of life of citizens.

Her presentation highlighted the strategic pathway “36 for 36,” which sets clear targets for 2036 and 2047 through key transformations such as mobilizing private investment, creating an enabling ecosystem, fast-tracking decision-making, strengthening execution capabilities, and integrating technology into governance and development.

“Our Vision is a blueprint for a developed society, aligning our State’s aspirations with the national goal of Viksit Bharat. We are committed to a future where every citizen of Odisha has the opportunity to prosper, live in good health, and enjoy the benefits of inclusive growth,” Garg said.

The presentation reaffirmed Odisha’s determination to emerge as a key driver of India’s growth story, setting ambitious yet achievable targets for the next two decades.
