
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to set up godowns for onions in the five districts of Odisha.
As per decision, the new godowns will come up in Kalahandi, Bargarh, Nuapada, Angul, and Boudh districts.
Odisha State Agricultural Marketing Board (OSAMB) General Manager Dharitri Mishra informed that the new godowns could store around 6,000 tonnes of onion.
The godowns will be built at the cost of Rs 7.51 crore.
At present, there are two onion godowns in the Angul and Bolangir districts in Odisha.
