Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has launched India’s first AI Chatbot for the agriculture sector ‘Ama KrushAI’ which would help farmers across the state. It was launched during the closing ceremony of Krushi Odisha 2023.
The chatbot will run under a pilot project and help farmers with best agronomic practices, government schemes and loan products from over 40 commercial and cooperative banks.
It is likely to involve over 10,000 farmers and will be implemented in the next two months.
Ama KrushAI is an artificial-intelligence-driven ChatBot built leveraging the recently launched ChatGPT system and Bhashini- a language interpretation platform developed by IIT Madras.
Under the 5T program, this is the latest step of the agriculture department towards leveraging AI to improve extension delivery for millions of farmers in Odisha. The app would be beneficial for farmers as well as officials.
