
Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department has initiated the admission process for the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the academic session 2026–27 and invited eligible students to submit applications through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal.
According to the official notification, the online application window will open on June 20 and remain available until July 5, 2026, providing aspiring candidates an opportunity to apply for the integrated teacher education course.
Admissions to the programme will be carried out on the basis of performance in the National Common Entrance Test (NCET)-2026, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The department has scheduled publication of the first merit list on July 10, 2026, following which the admission process will proceed as per the notified timeline.
Officials said the Integrated Teacher Education Programme has been designed to provide a structured pathway for students seeking professional teacher education through an integrated academic framework.
The Higher Education Department has also announced that classes for the 2026–27 academic session will commence from August 1, 2026.
Students intending to enrol in the programme have been advised to visit the SAMS portal and complete the application process within the prescribed deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
The department urged applicants to carefully review eligibility requirements and admission guidelines before submitting their applications online.
