Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department in Odisha has introduced virtual e-Lectures on a dedicated tutorial platform for students pursuing higher education in the state. Chittaranjan Patra, the Special Secretary and State Project Director (SPD) of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA)-Odisha, communicated this development in a letter addressed to the Registrars of public universities and Principals of all government and aided colleges.
The Special Secretary emphasized the need to embrace and promote e-Lectures on the virtual tutorial platform, marking a significant initiative under RUSA in the education sector. Utkal University, as a trailblazing institution, has been entrusted with the task of developing e-Lectures through a state-of-the-art virtual tutorial studio established for this purpose.
To facilitate this initiative, an exclusive web portal, https://vtputkal.odisha.gov.in, created by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), has been launched. The portal currently hosts e-Lectures for core papers of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th semesters in eleven subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Political Science, Odia, History, English, Psychology, Commerce, and Economics.
Encouraging students to explore this resource, not only as a supplement to their studies but also as a means to contribute to the overall integration of technology in education, the e-Lectures cover a diverse range of subjects. The initiative aims to enhance the learning experience by providing quality educational content in a digital format, ensuring students from various disciplines can benefit from it.
