Odisha Housing Minister Discusses Key Railway Projects with Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw

New Delhi: Odisha’s Minister for Housing & Urban Development, Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at Rail Bhawan on Tuesday to discuss critical railway infrastructure projects concerning the state, with a special focus on Mayurbhanj district.

During the meeting, Dr. Mahapatra requested the restoration of the previous schedule for the Bangriposi–Puri Superfast Express, emphasizing its importance for daily commuters and long-distance travelers. Vaishnaw assured that the matter would be reviewed to address the concerns of passengers.

Another key issue raised was the early implementation of the Baripada Railway Bypass Project, which Dr. Mahapatra highlighted as crucial for easing congestion and facilitating urban development in Baripada town.

Expressing gratitude, Dr. Mahapatra acknowledged the Union Minister’s commitment to improving railway infrastructure in Odisha and his proactive approach in addressing public concerns related to rail connectivity and services.
