
Bhubaneswar: In a minor reshuffle of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Odisha government on Thursday transferred and reassigned responsibilities to five senior officers across key departments.
NBS Rajput, a 1999-batch IAS officer currently serving as the Principal Secretary to the Governor, has been given additional responsibility as Principal Secretary to the Government in the Public Enterprises Department. However, a notification issued by the government clarified that this additional charge would end once Bhupendra Singh Poonia assumes his new role.
Temjenwapang Ao, a 2000-batch IAS officer and Commissioner-cum-Secretary in the Public Enterprises Department, has been appointed as Special Secretary to the Government in the Planning & Convergence Department.
Bhupendra Singh Poonia, a 2008-batch IAS officer serving as Managing Director of IPICOL with additional responsibilities in the Industries Department and IDCO, has been assigned as Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Government in the Skill Development & Technical Education Department.
Prem Chandra Chaudhary, a 2010-batch IAS officer holding dual roles as Director of Agriculture & Food Production and Managing Director of Odisha Agro Industries Corporation Limited, has been transferred to serve as Director of Textiles & Handlooms, Odisha.
Arindam Dakua, a 2011-batch IAS officer who previously served as Private Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed Director of Municipal Administration and Ex-officio Additional Secretary to the Government in the Housing & Urban Development Department.
