Odisha Govt to Host Three-Day Conclave Showcasing Fisheries and Animal Resources Sector Development
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is set to organize a comprehensive three-day conclave in Bhubaneswar next month, dedicated to highlighting the rapid developments underway in the fisheries and animal resources sector in the state.
Scheduled to take place at Janata Maidan in the state capital from February 16 to 18, the event aims to raise awareness about the significant investment potential in Odisha’s fisheries and animal resources sector.
Building on the success of previous fisheries and animal resources fairs held across different districts and the positive response from stakeholders, the government has decided to host this extensive three-day convention in Bhubaneswar, as announced by Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain on Wednesday.
In a preparatory meeting leading up to the event, Minister Swain assessed the arrangements being made for the conclave, which will feature an informative exhibition. The stalls will showcase the state’s potential in fisheries and animal husbandry, while seminars and workshops will provide a vital platform for the exchange of ideas on new techniques and methods in the sector.
The conclave will facilitate an interface and linkage among farmers, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), women entrepreneurs, market players, and service providers. It will serve as a platform for showcasing the best products and practices in the fisheries and animal resources sector.
With approximately 6,000 participants, including farmers, SHG members, and entrepreneurs from various corners of the state, the event will highlight investment opportunities in Odisha’s burgeoning fisheries and animal husbandry sector.
