Odisha Govt to Complete Verification for Subhadra Yojana in 15 Days: Deputy CM

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced on Thursday that the verification process for applicants under the Subhadra Yojana will be completed within 15 days.

Speaking to the media, Parida clarified that girls turning 21 this month are eligible for financial aid under the scheme. She reassured that the state government is committed to including all eligible beneficiaries, even those whose applications were previously rejected.

“All eligible beneficiaries, who were rejected earlier, will be included in the upcoming fourth phase of the first installment,” the Deputy CM stated.

Highlighting issues with previous application submissions, she acknowledged that some women were unable to access the scheme’s benefits due to improperly submitted forms. “We are fast-tracking the verification process to ensure no eligible beneficiary is left out,” she added.

The Subhadra Yojana has garnered significant response, with the government receiving over 1.6 crore applications so far. The fourth phase of disbursement is expected to provide financial relief to numerous women across the state.
