
Bhubaneswar: The state government has decided to extend the Biju Setu Yojana till 2026 and to construct 866 new bridges under it.
The BSY was launched by the state government in 2011-12 to improve connectivity in rural areas.
The Cabinet approved a proposal to extend the scheme till 2026 under which the government would construct 866 new bridges in addition to the completion of ongoing projects,” shared Chief Minister PK Jena.
An additional outlay of Rs 3,597.22 crore will be sanctioned for the project.
