The state government has imposed fishing in the deep sea by mechanized vessels for two months.
As the breeding season of marine fish begins from April 15 to June 15 every year, the authorities banned fishing in the sea during the period to protect fish wealth.
The fishermen have been advised not to enter the sea during the ban period. The boat owners will face action for violation of the order.
In the coastal districts of Odisha, marine fisheries are allowed only for 135 days.
