
Bhubaneswar: In a ceremony held at the Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on Sunday, Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati honored 38 police personnel with Police Service Medals in recognition of their distinguished service from 2019 to 2024.
The prestigious event was attended by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Director General of Police (DGP) Y.B. Khurania, and several senior officials from the state police department.
Eighteen police officers were awarded the Governor’s Medal for their outstanding contributions in 2024. Notable recipients included:
Governor Kambhampati praised the recipients for their unwavering commitment to public service, emphasizing that their dedication enhances the state’s safety and security. “These medals are a testament to your selfless service and the trust you uphold in ensuring law and order in our society,” he said during the ceremony.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also lauded the awardees, highlighting the importance of recognizing the hard work of police personnel who serve as the backbone of the state’s security framework.
