Odisha Government Proposes Extension of Upper Age Limit for Government jobs

Bhubaneswar: In a move to facilitate broader participation in government service entry exams, the Odisha state government is considering an extension of the upper age limit from 32 to 38 years.

A proposal in this regard was approved a Cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday.

The government had earlier increased the upper age limit to 38 years for advertisements made during the calendar years 2021, 2022, and 2023.

This proposed extension aims to provide ample opportunity for aspiring candidates to participate in recruitment examinations and aligns with the government’s commitment to inclusivity and expanding opportunities for the youth in Odisha. The move is expected to encourage a larger pool of applicants to engage in government service entry exams during the upcoming year.
